The Putney Diner is our favorite, with locally sourced foods and hand-thrown ceramic plates and mugs. It’s the best.

Dosa Kitchen is a great seasonal lunch option, operating out of a food truck at Retreat Farm and serving up wonderful South Indian dosas.

Yalla is an intimate vegetarian eatery whipping up down-home Eastern Mediterranean dishes for brunch & lunch.

Coffee Shops

Fire Arts Cafe is one of our go-to bakery shops, serving up delicious desserts, plus a good coffee/tea selection.

Patio Coffee is another favorite, operating outdoors in the summer, allowing for fresh air, coffee enjoyment.

Dinner Hot Spots

The Gleanery in Putney is a cozy eatery with farm-to-table food, and great ambiance. We recommend making a reservation.

Tine in Downtown Brattleboro is another great farm-to-table restaurant with New American cuisine, including weekend brunch.

Echo is a bustling eatery serving brick-oven pizzas & creative Italian fare in stylish surrounds.

See an exhibit at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center; or, if it's the first Friday night of the month, join the Gallery Walk

Learn about the musical history of the Estey Organ Museum, listen to a concert at the Yellow Barn, or attend the Marlboro Music Festival

Go for a walk in the woods at Madame Sherri Forest, or a hike up Round Mountain

Kayak on the Connecticut or West Rivers. 

Take a walk on the Green River Covered Bridge, or swim under it while bathing in one of two swimming holes

Go antique shopping at Twice Upon a Time
